The Thrusters are a local jazz and blues band that play around the city. They've started playing regularly at BLVD Lounge every Thursday and are awesome!!!

This article did not tell me enough to give me an idea of whether or not I would like to hear this band perform. Some information that might be helpful would be their musical influences, i.e. who they sound like.

I found the page too brief and uninformative, and I probably would not search the site further, especially since the URL is about Calgary city maps. The link, though (Calgary music bars) is far more engaging. The YouTube video is a real draw, since it brings the Calgary "scene" more to life. If I were to search the site further, I'd like to get a better "feel" for life in Calgary overall: the weather, sure, but also things to do and see, and maybe some city demographics.
