Don't miss the Earth Science for Society Exhibition; it is the ideal opportunity to learn about the Earth Sciences in a fun and interactive way.
What:
• Visit interactive hands-on exhibits at four pavilions each with a different focus on Earth Science: Resources and You, Energy for Us, One Dynamic Earth and Our Future!
• Earth Science for Society Exhibition is open to the public. All ages and interests are welcome and admission is FREE
.
Exhibits Include:
• Panning for Gold with Yukon Dan
• Finding Fossils with the Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation
Where:
Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, South building, lower level.
When:
• Sunday, May 13: 12noon - 5:00PM
• Monday, May 14: 9:00AM - 4:00PM
• Tuesday, May 15: 9:00AM - 4:00PM
Objectives
• To expose students and the public to various aspects of Earth Sciences in a fun, educational, and interactive way
• To demonstrate how Earth Science plays a critical role in our society
• To make the connection between responsible resource development and the things we use every day
• To inform students about education and career options
